What We Can Learn From Rio 2016?

So it is over for another four years.

We had great sporting action for the past two weeks and it came to a close last night.  Mind you, I'm struggling to write this, as the 4 hour time difference between London and Rio, has messed up my sleeping pattern.  But this shouldn't be of any excuse.

I don't want to ponder about Team GB's great success in the games.

Although coming 2nd on the Gold Medal Count Table is not bad, especially of the size and population of the country.

But what these individuals, athletes can do to inspire you into business.

As a business person.  I have leant being in business is a marathon and not a sprint.  You have to stay focused and keep your eye on the prize.

That prize can be anything, purchasing certain items to grow your business, saving up money for a house or even flying first class.

Just remember, it is you who are in control and it's you who are getting that prize.

Take a look at Mo Farah in the 10,000 Km Final.  He has trained all his life to win double gold in two different Olympics.  The guy's goal is to win gold medals for his kids.  On the race its self he took a tumble, but with his will and strength, Mo Farah managed to win gold.

As a business, you may right now have taken a tumble, but you have to get up, keep going and strive for you goal.

But well done Team GB for a great games and I cannot wait for the robot volunteers in Tokyo 2020.

Are you inspired from Team GB's success and are applying it to your own business? Let me know through Twitter, @eugeneeyo.  Or send me an email.
