So from 14th-17th February, I went to the Broadcasting Expo/Production Show down in Earl's Court, London. Like last year, I have spent most of my time in the Production Show than the actual main Expo. This is because most of the seminars in the Production Show attracted me and for most of them, they didn't disappoint. For someone who is just getting into the industry, the seminars are a good starting point to get ideas on how to make a name for yourself. The seminars had the same themes as last years, however it inspired me on the approach on how I can survive as a freelancer. Overall, I think the seminars are a great reference and starting point for any industry beginners like myself.
Another highlight of the Expo was the Canon EOS C300 camcorder. I had the opportunity to get my hands on it at the Canon stand. However I didn't get much time as a lot of people wanted to try it themselves.
Altogether, the expo was stimulating, it was cut short because I had work later during the afternoons. But I can't wait for the next expo. BVE North or the Canon Pro Solutions.
